I would be interested in the following: What you hope to achieve with the laser eye surgery? e.g.

- more personal liberty at leisure activities
- professional advantages
- attractiveness/private life
- fear, to be helpless without glasses/contact lenses.

And to the operated: has the eye laser operation kept what you have expected to achieve with it?

Is your quality of life higher than before the eye laser operation now?

Would you also recommend your partner this operation?

1.More personal freedom during leisure activities. MOre peripheral vision and no edges. No glasses cleaning after rain or eating hot soup.
2. Professional advantages to a certain degree. I don't like glasses but don't mind contacts. At present I have some lens intolerance and thought I would be less efficient due to discomfort with the glasses
3. Attractiveness. This should be on top
4. NO, I'm not helpless. Sometimes I move slower and perceived as helpless. This disturbs me more because normally I am energetic and efficient

Many people with a bad outcome may have similar mental problems like a person with HIV. They envy the healthy people who did not have the surgery. Just IMHO
